The spirit of the holidays is in the air. It’s a time for getting together with friends and generously supporting the communities in which we all work and play. And it’s no different at BC HRMA. The association has already hosted many regional celebratory mingles. The events, generously sponsored by various industry partners, raised funds for local charities and educational bursaries.

“Each year, our members gather at various mingles and Jingles across the province to celebrate and raise funds for those in need.” said Simon Evans, CEO of BC HRMA. “As a reflection of the HR community, as well as those communities in which our members are a part, their efforts are commendable and ongoing.”

The HO HO HOlidays wouldn’t be complete without the HO HO HOliday Party and Silent Auction in Victoria.   This year’s event raised over $6900 towards the BC HRMA Bursary at Camosun College for a student in financial need and in addition $460 was raised for Bridges for Women Society.  Watch the video below and see all the fun that was had.  Thanks to the Vancouver Island Advisory Council, silent auction donors, volunteers, and guests for helping to make this our most successful event yet – complete with Santa and the Bill Johnson Jazz Trio!   HO HO HOliday Socials were also held earlier in December in Nanaimo and Campbell River to connect members further north on the Island.
