CPHR BC & Yukon is strategically working to grow membership, expand the CPHR designation and establish a global brand presence.

Working toward those goals, Susan Ryan, CPHR, Board Chair for CPHR BC & Yukon, and Baldev Gill, CPHR, COO of CPHR BC & Yukon represented the association in China at the end of October.

The pair first visited Shanghai and celebrated the one-year anniversary of opening a local CPHR BC & Yukon office. This regional office provides services for members, administers the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) and offers professional development. The anniversary celebrations were capped off with a half-day HR conference featuring topics related to Artificial Intelligence.

Ryan and Gill also visited Beijing to open the second regional office of China. Similar to Shanghai, the Beijing office will administer the NKE, provide professional development and be the regional contact for members. The Beijing visit included a networking evening acknowledging local members with the CPHR designation.
