Team players are the most important elements of any company – it’s how companies get their work done. When you motivate your team, you can accomplish any goal that you want to accomplish.

However, you can work as hard as you want, but without a motivated team, all of that is in vain.

So, in order to make less mistakes as a leader and be more motivating to your employees, you need to reflect on how you have behaved in the past towards your employees, fix mistakes if there ever were any and be ready to act upon your changes.

1. Pay Your Employees What You Need

When you decide on how much you will pay your employees, keep in mind that pay is one of the biggest motivators in any industry. If you underpay your employees they will under-perform – and you can’t argue with that logic, because it’s  a fair one. Think about what other employers in the industry are paying their employees and increase that by just a bit. Sometimes a 5% increase means a lot to your employees, and don’t lose them because of that. Be fair.

2. Create A Great Environment For Them

Everyone wants to work in a nice office and no one wants to work in a tiny, dirty cubicle. What this means is that you need to provide them with a nice and clean office environment that will stimulate them to work even better. An employee’s workspace needs to make them feel good – it can make all the difference to an employee and increase their productivity. 

3. Lead Them To Self-Improvement

Your team members are already great employees and great people. However, you also need to nurture their talent and offer them plenty of opportunities to improve, learn and grow in whatever are they want to grow. They will be grateful to your company, even more loyal than before and they will bring plenty of value to your team with new skills and knowledge. Provide them with training that they need to become leaders and teach them about newest technologies that can improve their lives.

You hired these people because you trust them and you know that they have skills and knowledge to complete that task. So, why bother them and monitor their every move. Your way is not the only way. Set the goal and let them figure out what to do.

9. Never Have Useless Meetings
