CHRP Fosters Working Strategies for Organizational Success
A group of BC graduates are at the head of a nation-wide trend that’s changing how Canadians think about human resources. The grads are the most recent professionals to receive the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, a role businesses have started looking for in greater numbers.
In BC, nearly 215 graduates received the CHRP certification this year making a current total of 2,468 CHRPs in the province. There are about 22,300 CHRPs across Canada.
“The role for the CHRP is to know the business and help develop an engaged workforce that is contributing to a successful enterprise,” said Christian Codrington, CHRP and senior manager operations, BC HRMA. “As British Columbia’s workplaces change, there’s an increasing demand for professionals to help keep organizations up-to-speed. Well-developed people strategies combined with rigorous execution are critical differentiators for any organization.”
