Not Myself Today: Workplace Mental Health

As you know, mental health issues affect all Canadian workplaces, and the cost of doing nothing – both in personal and economic terms – is substantial. It’s time we take care of our mental health in the workplace.

BC HRMA is pleased to be supporting Partners for Mental Health, a national charitable organization dedicated to transforming the way Canadians think about and support mental health.

On May 9, 2013, the charity will launch its Not Myself Today campaign in workplaces across the country.  The campaign aims to help support the creation of mentally healthy workplaces by providing tools and resources to engage employers and employees around workplace mental health and reduce stigma.

For more information on how your organization can benefit from this initiative, visit www.notmyselftoday.ca or contact Jeff Moat, president of Partners for Mental Health, at jmoat@partnersformh.ca.

This campaign is a great opportunity for businesses to get out in front of the issues around mental health in the workplace and engage employees in meaningful ways.
